WTB Aftermarket air intake
Wanting to buy a set of Aftermarket intakes that don’t rough idle or have any problems. I’m doing this solely for increase in turbo spool noise. K@n is too quite for me with MPE. Preferably a cone air intake system but if a closed system can make as just much sound I’ll take it. |

I currently have the bms air intake and I have rough idle problem with it. Seems common I’ve even taken the mafs sensors out and lubricated the seals and put back in and they sit flush and still cause problems. I really love the intakes they sound amazing but I will not deal with the rough idle.

I have not heard the ssr has the same issue. I’ve only seen it on bms and some injens but seems like it’s mostly bms. I’ve also read where people are assuming it’s a thing to do with the maf and the metal. Because they have carbon fiber tubing on them and it doesn’t do that. Which may be but cannot confirm I’m gonna try ssr or injen next most likely. Hopefully someone’s has some that they will sell that are black or white.

BMS, metal tubing, no MAF or rough idle issues on mine. Love the noise :-). Yes - a closed box if probably more efficient, but the fun factor of the intake noises make up for it
