My 335i M-Sport totaled, advice on must haves with M for daily driver
Wife drove my car several days ago, was involved in collision, no one hurt (can always get new car, enough said) and just found out vehicle totaled. My 2014 335i M-Sport MPPK/MPE RWD, bought new, just paid off and just had installed the LSD that went on sale last spring. Was a fully loaded $57,525 MSRP + all the add-ons. Time to replace with an M3/M4. Looking to buy, would prefer a newer one (2017-2018) with low miles (under 30K). This will be daily driver I put 12-15K miles annually.
Not too much time to find...these were must haves:
nice to have:
Here are my questions:
I apologize if this is similar thread to others, but with preparation of holidays and I did not schedule time off, limited time for the above and need fast!

YouTube has some great videos on what to look for when buying a used M3 or M4
Competition package is worth it! Seats and suspension alone, not to mention the 19 extra horsepower. |

Sorry for the loss of the M Sport, they are/were a really a good bang for the buck.
1) CPO yes. You will get an extention on the warranty. 2) 2016 was the the LCI so you are already dialed in on the correct years. 3) Unless you choose a sunroof, the F80's all came with CF roof's. 4) Previous verified maintenance is a huge plus. Especially the 1200 mile break in which requires a rear differential fluid change at that time. CPO vehicles should always have this data on file and afaik... it cannot be a certified M3 unless this maintenance has been documented. 5) I would say yes to the Comp models. Higher resale, slightly more power, better seats for cooling. (My base leather seats do not breathe at all). I go back and forth from my 335i Msport and F80 and you'll absolutley love the M3. Good luck! |

CF is more common than a sunroof. Only concern would be the rear tires as this car eats tires in the rear if you drive it like you're supposed to.
