1 quart engine oil
driving last night the car gave me a heada up to fill a quart of my engine oil. Went to the dealership today and asked for the 5w30 since its recommended for our m trucks. Guy sold me the 10w60 instead and was told that this is now the oil for newer engines! mine was a 2017 x5m. Is this ok? Appreciate the feedbacks guys

Pretty sure that's not right.
10-60 is what BMW used to put in the E46 M3, totally different engine concept from a bygone age. Correct spec is 0-30 or 5-30 as above |

These guys...
10w-60 is wrong. It should be the 5w-30 oil, it's nothing special, the regular oil that goes in the non M cars is what it needs. https://www.shopbmwusa.com/Product/6...-OIL---1-LITER
