I'm in California, have a 2016 F80, the registration fee and license fee are $600 in total. How about other states? How this is calculated anyone knows?
I doubt it would be more expensive in Seattle area, anyone have info in Seattle area? Heard it's based on msrp (1.3% ?) |

Just under $700 for me. This state is ridiculous
They also tax us to death on gas and we don't even get 93... From ZeroHedge: “That said, according to an April report in the Orange County Register, at $4 per gallon, approximately .98c of it is due to various taxes and fees. • Federal excise tax — 18 cents • State excise tax — 42 cents • State and local sales tax — 8 cents • State underground storage tank fee — 2 cents* • Additional costs for compliance under Cap & Trade, as well as the Low Carbon Fuels Standard — 28 cents • Total — 98 cents “ |

We are paying the gas tax now so our children can enjoy the larger highways when they are finished in 2050. |

Do those of you in CA pay personal property tax on top of registration fees or is it all rolled in together? In my home state of Arkansas my custom plate is only $55 per year in registration but we pay about 0.5% of real value per year in property tax on vehicles, trailers, ATVs, and boats. But that is not due with the registration.
