Hey guys, in my quest of changing things up, I have always been itching for a tune. This car is amazing and I always had fast cars, I felt a tune would really wake the car up. I wanted cold start delete and to retain my stock cats, so I was looking for a Stage 1 tune. I am extremely OCD and picky about my stuff. I did my due diligence, spoke to several tuners, local and non local. After all my digging I decided to go with Mike at BPMSport and I'm extremely happy I did. Not only is his product top notch, but his customer service is through the roof.

Mike and I exchanged PMs on here about some questions I had. Then I placed the order through his site on a Thursday or Friday and by Monday I received my cable with emailed instructions on how to remove the coding info and send him the files he needed. The next day he called me and said let me know when you have 30 min and we can tune your beast. Well sure enough, in less than 30 minutes it was all done. He established a remote session and did his magic while I watched. The car fired right up, no warning lights or issues. Took her for a quick blast as I needed to be somewhere and boy was I wrong, I thought the Stage 1 would not be enough but figured I would start with it. No way, this Stage 1 is night and day how it transformed the car. When she pulls you literally can feel your hands wanting to pull off the steering wheel. In all modes, the car just feels more refined and better dialed in. I am extremely happy with how the car performs.

I have driven the car the past few days to work and man, smile from ear to ear the entire way. I also picked up the 2019 Navigation update for my car from Mike. He emailed me the files and for some reason my computer would not cooperate with the loading. He answered his phone, was wrapping something up and told me to call him back in a few minutes and he would take care of it. A few min later, he remoted back in my computer and fixed my issues on my laptop, had nothing to do with his files it my computer. He still spent about 30 min getting it up and running. I bought a new usb I needed to upload the files to my car and uploaded my new maps without issue.

I can not say enough about Mike and his team at BPMSport, not only a great product but phenomenal customer service, this goes a long way with me. I would also like to thanks Ickdeep on here for his recommendation and advice to go with Mike. Hopefully someone can find this helpful if they are searching for a tuner. Oh and did I mention the Stage 1 is a fricking blast!!!!

Enjoy thanks again to Mike and his team!

I don't know why anyone would go stage 2.. I have ZERO traction in 1st and 2nd w/ just Mikes BPM Stage 1. When I spoke with him, I wanted to go higher but he basically said no. Once installed.. stage 1 is an absolute beast! I had a Active Autowerkes piggy on the car.. and that was awesome. But a true tune for the F10 M5 will simply blow you away.

I’ve dealt with Mike and have driven a number of cars with his stage 1 tune. Everything you said is spot on. My only advise to you is start saving for a performance clutch . The extra torque does push the stick clutch to its limits.

Great write up!

You would definitely feel a huge difference. I have non comp and I also had him do the competition steering upgrade, for me made a huge difference. I'm sure he can still tweak your as well. But definitely power wise you will feel a difference and just all around driving will feel better.

@SapphireM5 are you still running stock intake? I'm thinking about upgrading to Burger Intakes and then adding the Stage 1 flash tune.

Yeah she is a handful if you turn off DSC I never do. I do mostly highway driving so just some nice long pulls, nothing crazy.

@Sapphire, what do you mean by a "competition steering upgrade"? What did Mike do and what was the result of this mod?
Still satisfied with the Stage 1?

Hi Barry, I have a non comp package. I believe the software is different for steering between non comp and comp packages. Mike I believe updated my software to the competition steering package, but you would really have to ask him specifically what is changed. I can say my steering definitely feels improved, not that it was bad before. It just feels like it is lighter in tight slow turns, like parking lot, driveway etc. On highway nice and tight.

And on the stage 1, I am very happy with the car and Mikes customer service. GL!
