Exhaust Manifold Question N52
I figured I would put this here as there is more traffic.
When I replaced my exhaust manifolds with headers, the nuts that connected the secondary cat section with the flanges of the factory manifold were seized. I ended up breaking the studs with a little too much pressure, but didn't care as I was replacing the entire manifold with a new setup. Now I have a friend in the state above me needing a set with cats for inspection. I offered him mine, but looking today at the flanges I see the broken studs. Do these come out, or are they a piece of the flange. I used a 3lb hammer to try and knock them out from the threaded side, but they didn't budge. I figured they were pressed in, but now I'm not so sure as hard as I swung at them. They won't do him any good with broken studs , and I hate I got his hopes up. Any of you guys delt with this? Thanks.
