I've been looking for a wireless charger retrofit other than this one?

I don't want to give up my 2nd cupholder!

I was hoping to get something like this (but this is for an X3) that would cover the ash tray i don't use.

I built one that covers the ashtray and cig lighter. I used this charger from amazon, good old fashioned wood and vinyl wrap from Michaels.

Solution 2 would be great but doesn't work with F15 and I'm not handy enough to DIY

I know if I go this route I'll end up leaving my phone in the car all the time

hoping to use the ash tray location to avoid that.

You can get the wireless charger snap in adapter for the armrest, but it is expensive and might not fit all the modern phones.

There are several wireless charging vent mounted clips you can use as well if you don't want the double sided tape. Just google away; I know mophie makes one.

It looks like it installs where I would want, saving the cup holder. But the pictures don’t show an F15, I don’t think.

It would be great if this one works. Then I'd feel stupid for building one. Sometime should try it and report back.

Man, that was exactly my plan, I was actually thinking about attaching the charging pad to the tray and cutting the rubber mat around it to make it flat even.

Did you try this one? I'm just worried about the having the case on since the charging pad is all the way at the bottom. Please provide some feedback if you tried this particular model.
