couple of newb questions

After owning the F85 for about a week, I had a few questions.

1. In Drive mode 3 (I know there is correct term for this, 3 bars) does the rear end of the car make loud noise on shifts?

2. Those that have cooled seats, how well does yours work? I can hear mine blowing but not cooling.

3. In my E70 my seat would move back to exit or enter the car. Once started it would move to the preset location. I do not see that option in the menu. I am missing something? I have soft close doors and the other bells and whistles that the E70 had.

Thanks for any input,

Going to add one question even though I have had mine for a while: is there a setting that unlocks all doors when driver door is opened?

Thanks for any input,
1) you have to have sport or sport + driving mode on, it doesn't work in comfort. I never tried it in auto but it definitely works if you shift manually
2) mine works well
3) not sure

yes, page 46 of the manual:

Unlocking Doors
1. "Settings"
2. "Doors/key"
3. Select the symbol.
4. Select the desired function:
▷ "Driver's door only"
Only the driver's door and the fuel filler
flap are unlocked. Pressing again unlocks the entire vehicle.
▷ "All doors"
The entire vehicle is unlocked.

1. As mentioned above, sport or sport + driving mode. It will actually fart on upshifts in comfort mode or without manual shifting, but you really have to be going for it, and it is not consistent.

2. Seats are ventilated but do not appear to cool worth a damn compared to other manufacturers. Boo.

3. My steering wheel moves but I've never had my seat move.

aas5 - thank you for this. I thought the only way to do this was via coding. I definitely should read through the manual in better detail. Thanks again.

OP - my ventilated seats do not work as well as in every other vehicle I have driven with ventilated seats. I mean they work but definitely not impressed by their effectiveness.

agree with the ventilated seats. nothing impressive about it. My wife's Kia sportage has better functional cooled seats.

Thanks to all. I will try in sport or sport plus. It may have actually been the exhaust I was hearing on the shifts.

I do still feel a little stupid with the new gear box. I can't get the launch mode to work. I have one of M buttons set to

Mdynamic
S3
sport + on the rest.

I know it has to user error just not sure where.

Adds to my list 1st world problems.

Few things. By design, the seats don't move back for you to get out. Only the steering wheel. Not a problem with the car.

On the ventilated seats... they are ventilated, not ACTIVELY COOLED. That means they pull in ambient air vice having an HVAC duct hooked to the fans. Mine aren't too bad in hot humid climates as I ventilate before I get in and open all the windows to get the heat out before turning the car on.
