Power Mirror Fold

Hello, this may be a dumb question, still new to my z4 3.0 si, but is there a way to code your mirrors to fold when you lock or unlock your car even if there is no power fold button to begin with? Or do u just have to buy power mirrors imported from Europe?

If your car does not have the button for this, it won't have the motors in the mirrors to fold them in either. Many Canadian-spec cars had that feature and I expect it was an option on US-spec cars so you should be able to get the parts you need without too much trouble. There may be wiring to do because for 2006 and later, the wiring harnesses (apparently) had only the connections / wiring needed for the car as it was built in the factory.

I have a button in the car and when I press the button the mirrors fold. But I cannot operate them by the key. When I ask my mechanic if any posibility to chance the code they answered no. Is it true or not.

Could be wrong but don’t recall this being an option for US cars

I think you are right. I got every option except extended leather and I do not have this feature.

Ok thank you! Would I be able to order the same parts as the Euro and Canadian for my US model?

Parts WERE $1K back when Ron wrote that. Can't imagine what they would cost today (if you can even obtain them any more).
