2013 Atlantis Blue E92 M3

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2013-bmw-m3-27/

The infamous special paint order car that was incorrectly painted Atlantic Blue instead of Atlantis Blue.
I think this is the best e92 m3 i've ever seen.

I think you have it backwards. The infamous car is the Atlantic blue (light silver blue) M3 which was supposed to be Atlantis.

Regardless, this car is a stunner and I'm sure is going to go for big money. Already is with 5 days left.

Stunning car. Probably the most beautiful e92 I've ever seen. What are we thinking on price? 55k? 60k?

watching closely.... my prediction is $60k. beautiful car. But I guess i'm in the minority, because I am just not a fan of Atlantis Blue. I actually like Atlantic Blue more.

Plus 1. Love the rarity but not a fan of the color. Anything under 55 is a great deal.

Agreed, car was incorrectly painted Atlantic Blue before BMW built the guy an Atlantis Blue M3.

Beautiful car, love the contrast stitching and individual piano black trim.

Thread is fixed. Thanks.
I think this is the best M3 I've seen.
Having Individual Paint Colours like this make me wish I had the extra money to buy one. Sadly, I think this auction is going to make me realize this won't be feasible!

Wow, just watched the end of this and it was intense and fun to watch. $50k was so 10 minutes ago, haha, ending at $67k.

BAT auctions tend to get silly, but people have money so good for the seller.

The fact that they stated both the front and rear end had to be resprayed sounded a little suspect to me. "Low mileage pretty color car with unrecorded accident covered up as dealer scuffs by OCD person". I would be even more OCD to find out that the bumpers no longer matched the factory in certain light, I imagine that color was tricky to match.

Bumpers wouldn't really scare me TBH.
This has got to be in the top 0.01% of E9X M3's.
For those of us owning a low mileage good condition examples, really makes you wonder where the market is going on these.
Auctions like this start to increase demand for the more common colour specs and model years.

Was a fun auction to watch in the last minutes!

Agree. It clearly wasn't a collision. Plus if painted correctly the Euro bumper is a plus. Looks cleaner.

I didn't read the talkback under the auction. Did anyone point out the passenger door paint didn't match the rest of the car?

The seller commented on that and said it's lighting.

Yeah, it sold for a perfect price for both buyer and seller.
Leads me to wonder if Individual colors will command more than Lime Rock Editions one day.... Even more phenomenal, a DCT Santorini Blue sold recently for 47k, same mileage etc..... I feel we are about at the bottom on the market for rare spec E9X's.... With the G80 coming, people will begin to awaken to the fact that Naturally Aspirated V8s are simply a wonder of the Bavarian automotive world never to happen again.......
Hope the new owner drives her and enjoys her........

I don't want to clog the thread with all the photos, but even a casual look at all the passenger side photos regardless of the angle show that difference. I don't think its a lighting or paint shade difference, more like a flop difference in the metallic element.

The driver's side photos are uniform, with no difference shown at any angle.

Its still a beautiful car, in a beautiful color. And the driver would never see that side.

I think individual colour specs like this Atlantis one will be worth more than a LimeRock.

When you take a look at the market as whole, <30k Mile, 6MT coupes, in good condition are becoming very rare. The exact same thing happened to the E46 3-4 years ago. Look on classified ads across the country.

I think the time to buy one of these cars was yesterday...
