Feedback/Recommendations on 22" staggered Tires now that wheels have been ordered
Looking to switch out my stock 19's for some new wheels. I have 22 Inch on my FX and think they are fine. I am seeing there is limited number of tires for 21 and 22 inch. I was wondering if owners can relay they feedback with 22 inch wheels. What your experience with tires, any vibration issues, excessive road noise? Any specific tires to stay away from? Any complaints with going with 22's
Posting the specs here in case anyone needs them 22x10.5 with 295/30/22 22x12 with 335/25/22 Last edited by PanthersFX; 05-04-2019 at 11:45 AM.. |

Never as cushy as the 20s you definitely feel the road more.
If you haven't lowered it and you put 22s on you WILL be lowering it as it looks weird AF sitting that high on 22s. You have to get used to everyone telling you your ride is dope and asking you what size you're riding on. Other than that they look amazing. |

What size tires and brand also ? I had Toyo's and Nitto NT420S on my 22's on my FX initially and they were the loudest tires i've ever had. Almost like mudders ridiculous. Luckily discount tire has great return policy basically bring them back within 30 days for exchange to anything else. |

Here is a pic of mine without lowering. I am running Pirelli Asimmetrico. I can feel the road a bit more than the 20's RFT but not a huge difference. Less noise in my opinion compare to the Bridgestone I had with the 20's. I am lowering it next because it does not look right with the 22's and the stock height. Hopes this help.

What tires are you guys with 22 recommending? Looks like there are few choices but not to many. Was going to research Toyo St3 and Atturo look great for the price. Would love to stay at under $1k for set 4. I am in NC so won't need winter tires as I generally don't drive the car in snow or ice.

They are Forgestar F14. I have a set on my FX, excellent wheel for $ and weight. If you interested in purchasing I can send you my wheel dealers info.

so can we run the 285/35r22 on a staggered setup? 22x10 , 22x11 ? the tire size calculator (https://tiresize.com/calculator/) shows the wheel width range for a 285/35r22 as 9.5-11". 285/35R22 diameter: 29.9" width: 11.2" wheel: 22 x 9.5-11" |
