Annoying Apple car play

Getting annoyed with some functionality
When I’m parked in the car listening to music waiting to grab the kid from school. As soon as I open the internet on my IPhone the music on XM stops and it goes quiet. As soon as I close the internet the XM starts. I don’t want to have to disconnect my phone from the car. Is there something I’m missing. Thamks

Probably cuz you have apple car play and you open the internet the audio on your phone is taking precedence. Try just closing CarPlay. I mean what are you using it for anyway when just sitting there parked if your using satellite radio. But yes I agree that is dumb.

Repair and dont connect as a bluetooth device. only pair with carplay.
