Rear brakes problem

Hey guys,
So last year when I purchased my (used) x5 from BMW, I had a safety and inspection done. The results showed that the front brakes were 8mm and the rear brakes were 8mm. Fast forward nine months later and ~10,000km later, I am now being told that my brakes are 8mm in the front and 3.5mm in the rear.
I just had the scheduled oil maintenance done and was told that it's about time to replace the rear brakes.

What I do not understand is how after about 10,000 km, the front brakes were still at 8mm,. any thoughts about this?
I haven't checked and measured them myself, but I am able to see the front brakes still look pretty thick and the rears do look somewhat worn out,

I've looked it up and read that as well.
But then, results showed that it also works the other way around as well? Fronts wearing out faster. So, I wasn't sure ..

But even if rears wear out faster, does the rate of how quickly they wore out seem normal? From 8mm fronts, 8mm rears to 8mm fronts, 3.5mm rears after about 10,000km?
I thought it seemed a bit quick?

Do you have and use ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) a lot? I've read that ACC uses the rear brakes more often. I don't use my ACC too much except for long trips. I just had to change out my rears 2 months ago. Front still look brand new.

I do not use it too often actually.
But I did not read up on that when looking up info on the rear brakes wearing out much faster than the fronts.

So seems like it is all normal then
Yeah my fronts basically look brand new as well.
Thanks for your input
