Looking for advice on 21" or 22" wheels and Front Lip
Should be getting my X5 in few weeks. First 2 things I want to do is get Front lip and switch out the 19s for larger wheels. Any recommendation on front lip and good reputable place to purchase them? I like the CF ones like the X5M looks slick.
What wheels are most you guys going with? I like the ones on the X5M but thinking 21 inch tires will be limited and costly in price. I have set of 22 inch Forgestar F14 on My FX35 and really liked them, very good quality! |

Are you looking for an OEM front lip, or aftermarket?
I would go with 22s and lower widths -then combine w/spacers. OEM 21s have very limited options in that staggered set up and are very expensive. I know from personal experience. |

As far as front splitter, really going to depend on how much you want/willing to spend. Also for your wheels, seems like a lot go with 22" because more options as far as tire goes. At least that's what I gather from reading different threads.

You can run a lot of different sizes for 22s depends how wide
I'm running, which a few members are running the same. offsets subjective to rim style etc 22x10.5 +38 —- 295/30/22 22x12 +20 —- 335/25/22

How is the ride quality compared to the 20's that most M Sports come with? I didn't notice to big difference when i made the change in my FX 20 to 22. I did notice steering and handling improved significantly though with the size upgrade, I guess since less tire profile and flex. |

My only experience with 20s is with run flat winter tires. I don't notice much if any difference in ride quality. The run flats wear quick and ride rough so jumping to 22" non run flats was almost an improvement. I had a hard time believing it, as other members have had similar experiences.
I'm Looking forward to finding a set of non run flat winters for next year to compare ride quality vs the 22s
