Fix spun crank hub?

Is there a possibility to fix this screw?

Not sure if you are referring to the crank bolt or do you mean ' to fix this screw-up'? Anyway there are multiple threads about this issue. As far as a I know to completely correct this you are going to need a Crank Bolt Capture (such as the one from VTT) in combination with a one piece crank hub (such as the one from Gintani).

Best chance for success it to take care of things before they go south. At a minimum, a Crank Bolt Capture, but ideally our Spline Lock Hub and a CBC together. If you already slipped your hub, you must replace all compromised parts.

Which map at JB4 is the best to experience more power on one side and to take care of this issue not to overload the components on the other side?

Honestly its just something that happens unfortunately, I had a 2018 m4 had about 4-5k miles and my crank hub spun I wasn't speeding/racing or anything like that. Was cruising to a meet and my engine light went off took it to bmw and my crank hub was spun. Went to maximum psi and got the upgraded fix and I've been running 600whp since then 7k miles on the car and not a single issue

Can I ask if BM gave the nod to install the fix, and keep your warranty in tact .

My car was flagged one week prior to spinning my crank hub I was dumb and didn't flash back to stock when I brought my car so when my crank hub spun I did try to bring it ti BMW first and I talked to my SA and he tried to talk to the tech but they were not having it he didn't wanna give the okay to fix the car so I took it over too bimmerclinic in Jersey and got the upgraded part from maximum psi and the rest is history

But I'm sure if you still have warranty and you got it upgraded they wouldn't say anything its not affecting your car in a negative way but at the same time every bmw is different so it wouldn't hurt too ask your sa. My sa let me come in with my dp and mid pipe no problem just that the car was flagged so couldn't really do much about that

What needed to be fixed/repaired.

At first I thought a SCH was catastrophic but seems like people are getting this fixed with no further issues.

Hi, didnt one of yours spin the hub on a N54 engine.
Read up on the first page and the numerous VTT/SCH threads . Looks like the company that "spun" the VTT spline lock on their N54 released their own keyed fix several days later.

Seems very suspicious to me, and likely was an intentional attempt to damage VTT's reputation

Oh so the crankhub just broke? And I’m assuming the car went out of timing?

If you don’t mind, how much was it to fix it? If you don’t feel comfortable disclosing the amount, what was the range?

From your SCH, it seems like it can randomly fail but more catastrophic engine failure ca happen should you be rompimg on the gas.

Was a little over 4k including purchasing crank hub, install timing, making sure everything else was good. Yeah from what I was told most people who have their crank hub spun while you know racing or as you said romping on the gas there is usually a lot more damage and possible motor replacement.

Wow! That amount is still nothing to sneeze at.

I’m glad it was all sorted out though!

There's no way I'd expect BMW to cover the repair costs of a SCH if you've done anything at all to modify it. As soon as they get into the engine and see a foreign part in there I think you can kiss the warranty good bye.
