M3/M4 or C63 S?
Looking to get rid of my C450 and would love a twin turbo v8 but when comparing same years which I’m looking at 2016 and 2017 the M4 is a tad bit cheaper.
I’m hoping most on here have maybe driven both and can give me a good comparsion and what your overall thought on which was best is? I know what each is capable of if tuned and upgraded turbos. That’s not what I’m after. But which was more fun to drive. Which felt more engaging and so on.

Sorry pal - I haven't driven a C63 but I did consider it to replace my M3 that was going back. Ultimately, I decided to get another M3. Overall, I just find the looks of the M3 more aggressive and I can still get a manual (or a more Special DCT). Interior wise, the C63 is nicer in my opinion, and the V8 sounds great, but as an overall package, the M3 speaks to me more than the C63.

I don’t have any experience with a DCT but I know that 7spd benz tranny holds up pretty well. And yes that twin turbo V8 sounds intoxicating. I’m leaning toward the C63s at this point but year for same year the M4 is cheaper by a good several thousand |

personally, automatic gearbox behavior can really annoy me, so i suggest you go hammer a c63s hard to see if you’re ok how the gearbox responds to high rpm downshifts and how it behaves when you bounce the engine off the fuel cutoff
I like turbo v8 sounds a lot, but I’ve always found AMG automatics a bit frustrating |

M4 for sure and M3 if you requires more space! I had this debate since ages here but at the end M4 was the clear selection. I have made a video about it check it out hope it will help you

What do you really want out of your next car..make a list of what is most important to the least..then it might make it a bit easier to pick the car..I have owned both and loved both in different ways..but in the end I am a BMW fanboy(haha).
That being said..I really wish the BMW made the sounds of the AMG..but that was not at the top of my list..but might be for you..both cars are very close..and in the end if you are not driving on the track..you will not get close to the edge with either..BUT if you go with the AMG..you MUST get the Coupe..it is a different car from the sedan..and the coupe is built in Germany..the sedan in the US. |

have had 2 f80s and 1 w205 amg. The main drawback of the c63 is the lack of aftermarket (this was 2 years ago) support and the fact that maintenance is freaking expensive. I drove 20k miles my first year and it cost me thousands in maintenance.

Stock for stock, the C63S facelift is a quite bit faster. Even the prefacelift was a good bit faster stock vs stock - about 1.5-2 seconds to 150 mph. The FL sedan clocked a 11.9@122 mph (vs 12.3@116 for pre facelift) mostly due to the new gearbox is my guess. I’d imagine the coupe is slightly faster but not evenone wants to modify their cars especially seeing the crank hub issue on the s55 is certainly something that is a deterrent.
