DINAN 3.62 DCT Differential

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Dinan 3.62 limited slip differential with approximately 16k miles of use. Nice and tight, fluid was clean and clear like honey, no leaks or noises, has some scratches on the bottom fins....From an M3 we're parting out due to bearing failure.

These are no longer in production from Dinan due to the lack of supply of new ring and pinions from BMW. Unobtanium in the used market, this is a good chance to get your hands on one. Dinan had priced these with your existing differential being sent in as a core. This sale does not require that, it is an outright sale - you keep your diff.

Price is $2300.

wonder how it would do on my already supercharged m3. already have slight traction issues on r888s but wouldn't mind more acceleration from 3-5th

Would do just fine. It's gearing. For example if you like the power of fourth gear, then 5th would almost feel like a "4 1/2 gear".

wow, dont see these very often on the E9x platform, free bump!

I had a 3.91 diff upgrade that was paired with blower on my E46M3, def a fun combo, getting into/staying in boost range much sooner and easier as that engine really lacked low end torque

deansbimmer, just curious, I think Dinan's 3.91 and 4.10 rings and pinions are essentially refinished BMW Motorsport parts, do you know if that's still the case with this one?

It would not surprise me, but Dinan would need to verify. Last I heard new BMW units were seeing inconsistent supply.

Will this be direct bolt on and PNP? Or will a tune/flash/reprograming of any components required?

Dinan sold these as a stand alone upgrade. There was no software for them.

Just curious what difference between a 3.62 from diffs on line and a “Dinan” differential?

Either way, I want one...but shipping from Texas is steep!

That's a great question to ask Diffs Online. They would know more about their product than I would.

I gave you a ballpark shipping estimate but I didn't see your response with the address I'd need to generate an actual quote?

That’s my next upgrade, but I’d want a new unit or refurbished..

I’m in the cold winter city of Toronto!
