My Mod List So far...

My Mod List… so far…
It took me almost 3 months to figure out exactly what I wanted to do and install with the help of this forum has helped a lot. I did not even know I wanted half the stuff I have done until I see it on another members vehicle. So, this is my list but still not 100% complete and as you know it will possibly never be 100%. I want to do as much of this during the winter months because during the spring and summer months all my time (and money) is spent on my 40’ Cruisers Yacht and water adventures, So here is what I have so far…

EXTERIOR MODS:
M Performance dual slat Gloss Back Kidney grills
Painted all front grills and ducts gloss black
M Performance front lip
50dM Open left grill
50dM grill splitters painted to match
Front reflectors painted to match
Headlight Eyelids painted to match (not on yet)
Black on Black BMW roundels and badges
M performance Side Vent grills
M Performance style rocker panel decal in Carbon Fiber (not on yet)
M Performance Rear diffuser
M Performance rear side splitters
Rear reflectors painted to match
M performance Roof Spoiler
Mid Trunk Spoiler painted to match (Not on yet)

INTERIOR MODS:
20% Window tint and windshield top band
Leather diamond pattern flooring covers through out
M Performance front floor mats (for bad weather days)
JL Audio 12” Subs and grill thru trunk lid
JL Audio 600/1 Sub amp & remote volume knob
Carbon Fiber wrap on all wood trim and a few others
Hardwired and fixed mount Radar Detector

MECHANICAL:
Magnaflow X Pipe
Flowmaster super 44 mufflers
Akrapovic Carbon Fiber Dual tips.
Continental DWS 06 tires

Soon to come…
BM3 Tuner
New plugs
Dinan air filters

So this is what 10K in Mods look like... And I did all the work myself...

Hard to tell for sure from the pics but is the interior ivory? I've got ivory interior and wondered how cf trim would look.

That custom exhaust looks great (Akrapovic Carbon Fiber Dual tips). I'm about to do MPE on mine. I wonder if I can have them add those tips or is it a whole big deal to get that installed? Any additional info on those exhaust tips would be helpful.

Should be able to cut off MPE tips and weld them right on. These are the ones I got for my muffler delete - look just like Feelin Nauti's, just not gloss black.

Clean! I was looking at that diamond leather flooring, but I'm still not sure if I'll be able to keep it clean - it seems it can get dirty very fast, no?

Thanks! Dumb question but all they need to do is remove the tips and replace with these? No need to change the piping itself? If so, I might do this. As the user noted below - I would just have the MPE ones taken off (as I don't believe they are welded) and put these on.

Is warranty impacted if you change the tips? That would be a game changer if so.

Yes it does but cleans very easy with a damp cloth. On days of bad weather or if I feel I will be dirty or muddy I just throw my rubberized mats on top.

I was told by my service adviser that warranty's would not be affect for changing out mufflers or tips.

Local muffler shop. Had the tips put on when I had the muffler delete done.

Yes difficult to do.. but not impossible. If the muffler shop says too difficult you chose the wrong muffler shop. Go to one that does ground up custom exhaust. They have the expertise to bend complex radius pipe to fit them on.

The ones I used were 2.5" inlet and the stretched them a bit and they have dual 3.5" outlets.. See previous responses with links to them.

I went with this one since it was urethane and not fiberglass. Decent fit will little prep. I am not done painting it but will have it done and installed as time allows.

http://www.aerofunction.com/2014-201...M-1-Piece.html

And I am painting it myself with spray cans that are spoton on color from this place.

Mine is a 3 step color and it looks really good.

Tried three different shops. I honestly didn't think it would be all that difficult but I was wrong lol
I sent the tips I bought back, maybe try a different set and see if I have better luck.

Curious, what is the "difficult" part that they cant (wont) overcome?

Part of it was because the exhaust pipe before the tip is an oval shape on the original one. Also fully welding the tip on without removing bumper, or tacking it and dropping entire exhaust to weld it up.
