Spacers on 20” 666m wheels question
I was just wondering, how are you guys running spacers on 20” 666m wheels and stock low profile tires? I tried putting unbranded $100 spacers from Amazon and they were causing vibration to steering wheel at speeds 50+ mph. Vibration was gone once spacers removed. Then I upgraded to Macht Schnell $200+ spacers and it didn’t help - same thing. It looks like this wheel and tire setup is super sensitive to run spacers. Or am I missing something? 😬

This is One of the two reasons why I never got spacers. The other is all the rock chips that will be present. I do have PPF in certain spots but not enough in my opinion.

I've run 10/10 and 7.5/7/5 Turner spacers on my F80 with 666M wheels and never had any vibration issues. I ran H&R spacers on my E92 and had some slight vibration issues, took them off and cleaned the hub face with a wire brush really well also cleaned the wheel side as well, reinstalled and no issues after. As someone suggested, make sure the mating surface is absolutely clean.

You can certainly do a stud conversion for added insurance. However if the mating surfaces aren't immaculate you will still encounter problems. |

Not sure what's going on in your case but I'm running 10/10 Macht Schnells and a drop with no vibration or rub issues what so ever. *shrugs*

I've been running a 12/10mm set up on my '16 M3 Comp Pack with 20" triple 6's since day one with no issues. You shouldn't be getting any shaking in the steering wheel from spacers.
Have you tried to jack up your vehicle with the spacers on and give the wheels a spin with you hand? It might help determine where the issue is before you take it out on the road.

I assume it might feel different on various tire/wheel setups. 20 inch ZCP wheel and 30 profile are super sensitive to run spacers I guess, even without spacers I feel every single bump and crack on the road, but no vibration at least. There also might be something wrong with my wheel hub since other people do not have such issues as I do.

I have the Turner big pad spacers (I believe they are 12mm squared) on my 666m wheels, no vibration at all. I bought the bid pad because they were supposed to match the mounting diameter of these wheels, they are still a touch smaller but no issue otherwise

old thread and wrong forum section but I will share my experience. I don't think the brand of spacer actually is what makes a difference in vibration. I got amazon spacers and when I put them on the rear hub was a very snug fit but on the front the spacer went very easily on and I could even rotate it with little pressure. As soon as I noticed the snug fit in the rear and the looser fit in the front I knew it was going to vibrate. I don't know if there is a way to get the front to fit more snug but I think that is the key to eliminating vibration.

Lowered with KW HAS, Macht Schnell 12mm front, 10mm rear.
No issues. I used a wire brush and thoroughly cleaned the mating surface of the hub. Then I used a light coat of anti-seize on the hub. Torqued wheels to spec using correct pattern. Also make sure wheels are balanced properly; I feel like it becomes more sensitive to out of balance issues with spacers.
