Pms/texts sent... I'm trying to avoid shipping since this thing is huge and may cost a grip but will get back to folks next week with shipping quotes if it doesn't sell locally.

cvstar9M3 would love to hear your experience with the primary cat delete and why you're switching after only 100 miles. I have this job planned and I am still deliberating!

Sure. I had a full Catless system, Frequency Intelligent (FI); it's valved; kind of like iPE. It was loud af. I liked it a lot specially up to 5k rpm (beyond that it was too loud for me). The smell of the gas almost killed me though plus I daily drive with my little one in the car.

So I changed it up and put the test pipe on. It helped w the smell but quiet the exhaust down too much. From 1-10, the full Catless was like a 15. W test pipe Ish was like a 5 lol. Didn't like it. So now I'm pairing FI muffler w AfE hfc xpipe. The loudness is like a 10 but I still don't like it. So my quest for the perfect sound continues lol

Inspection can pass w tune. I know someone w test pipe who passed. I'm hfc now and should def be ok w that. Test pipe is a good starting point and it's cheap.

Thank you for your thoughtful response, cvstar9M3 - definitely helps in my decision making process.

Sorry we couldn't make a deal work with the HFC & IPE X-Pipe but GLWS here and finding the ideal sound! I would highly recommend Joe Lam's YouTube Channel [1]; he is also pursuing the perfect sound on his M3 and creates really thorough, high quality videos on his setups.

No worries bro. It happens. Thanks for sharing the video. I'll definitely check it and and subscribe. On a different yet relevant point, I think the IPE, FI, Armytrix and other similar exhausts that have a straight pipe sort build are comparable to the sound of a Ducati dry clutch (hoping you are familiar with sports bike sounds). There is a rumble built in the systems. These exhausts also heavily depend on xpipe to control their sound. Other exhausts like MPE or GT2 for instance have their unique sound that don't depend as much on the x pipe. I'd compare their sound to that of the Japanese sports bikes (r1, cbr, gsx r etc). It is tigher and more controlled and linear. That's what I've concluded after I recently spent a good amount of time behind my boy's e90 (driving it, as passenger, or driving behind his car). He has GT2 paired with catless resonated fapspeed xpipe. it sounds sick but very different than mine, not as loud for sure though lol! I guess it's a matter of preference. What do you think? you have IPE w hfc xpipe. whats your assessment of the sound?
