Importing car from Canada to California - Mods (AA midpipe)
Hi All
Question for you. I have a 2017 M3 from Canada. Planning on moving to the bay area and dont want to sell my car yet since it's only been under 2 years. My stay in California is expected to be 1 to 2 years. I was thinking of bringing my M3 with me. I'm reading online and it appears I need to get an emission test done. Currently have AA midpipe on it. Wondering if I should take it off or keep it on. Any thoughts? |

I had to smog my e92 and the guy plugged my car in to a computer with my engine running. He then pop the hood and looked around with a flashlight and proceeded to look under the car and last look at my exhaust. After the visual inspection, he looked at the computer, typed some stuff in and said I was good to go. He said the smog certificate was sent to the dmv. So there is a visual inspection You have to pass.
