X5 vs RR Sport?

Hey guys.
I am looking into getting a new car and was wondering your take on those?

RR is too many problems and costly to fix.
Was offered a fully loaded one at great price and declined as I could notice problems coming.
Great friend tempted the journey and got caught in the issues and returned the car after a couple of months.

That's the current RR reputation.

We have a full sized one in China. It’s amazing to drive and very comfortable riding. Off road it’s amazing too.

Haven’t had any mechanical issues. Only one minor electrical one was the front radar was misaligned and kept disabling the front collision prevention system. Realignment fixed that.

That said technology wise it leaves much to be desired. I think only recently they put up updated screens and infotainment system, but I’m not digging having everything done by touch screen.

Hmm. Yeah. Sounds like the full fat would be better although the sport looks also nice.
I am mostly afraid of it breaking down
