Not impossible but melbourne is quite rare and then adding ZCP (years 2011-2013) make this a rare car to find.
A few sedans with these specs have popped up and I remember seeing a coupe a few months back.
It may take a few months for one to be available.

I dont mind waiting months, I just hope manual transmission ones are out there. it seems like majority of these cars came with DCT. there are several 11-13 DCT ZCP melbourne reds currently on the market. and every single lemans and interlagos that popped up for sale in the past 2 months has been DCT as well. kind of frustrating that no MT cars pop up for sale used. i guess those are kept but true enthusiasts.

Yes, those of us that purchased DCT cars on the used market are clearly not "enthusiasts". I actually stumbled upon the "M" line when I was looking to purchase a sporty car such as a Miata, Mitsubishi Eclipse or Honda Civic. (Eclipse was my dream car FYI). Dealer steered me over to a DCT M3 that he had after watching me have a hard time with the manual M3's on his lot. Unfortunately though the DCT cars are very sluggish and way slower than the manual cars. Seems like bmw missed the mark on the engineering of the DCT.

Maybe for most of the other sports cars I would definitely get manual but for these cars maannn give me the DCT or give me the death. DCT tune fixes sluggish feel btw. I still respect everyones choice. I am a manual guy as well but DCT on bimmer and PDK on porsche for me..

Should have stuck to the Miata, or maybe an automatic Civic with a nice exhaust. Sounds like that's more your speed

Hey OP, don't mean to rain on your parade but you may want to prepare yourself for a lengthy search. I've been looking for a manual ZCP in an unusual color (MW in my case) for going on 18 months now. Probably seen 20+ DCT's in that time, so the 6MT's are definitely few and far between.

In my experience, I think you have it right when you say that a lot of the manual 6MT comp cars are owned by BMW enthusiasts. This means that many of them are low-mileage, well-kept and priced accordingly. So it helps if you have a healthy budget...

Other than that, just watch the adds daily and be ready to pounce when you see one that fits what you're after. Chances are there are others looking for the same spec and it'll be gone quickly.

GL!

I am actively searching everyday. I almost pulled the trigger on a mint 02 ZCP silverstone II on black/red leather with 44k miles for 33 grand. it was a hell of a deal and it was 6MT. I passed on it to find an MR instead but im beginning to regret that decision... let the waiting continue......good thing I have a lot of patience, it took me nearly 2 years to find my E46 too
