Why oh why Didn\'t You Stop!?!

My F80 was rear ended last week. The bumper damage isn't horrible but bad enough I want it repaired. The tow hook cover, rear bumper, piece over the exhaust is creased and the exhaust looks a bit out of alignment. Could be the bumper, but I don't really know. Question(s) to the community: Does an OEM bumper really have to have the sensor holes drilled out? What are the chances of them matching Silverstone II?

I had a dent in mine from backing up into a metal dumpster--BMW just replaced the entire bumper with all sensors and stuff like that. Can't say I know anything about drilling out the sensors though...

Pretty sure the rear bumper sold now (51128055991) is predrilled for PDC as noted in the options.

No drilling needed for camera or Lane Change Warning

The right paint shop can do a perfect match, regardless of color.

Backup Cameras and Blind Spot Detection have never needed drilling in the F Series.

1. PDC holes need to be drilled out.
2. paint match will be fine so long as you go to a decent shop.
3. sorry about the dent. it happens. not much you can do now but get the bumper replaced and move on. just a crappy feeling is all.

My F80 is a silver stone 2. Needed to get my skirts painted so I just gave them my fuel door to match the paint. It came out perfect. Cannot tell the difference from any angle or lighting.

The tow hook cover is square in the diagram. I will be miffed if it is not original, which is round. Is realOEM.com buying directly from BMW?

Realoem does not sell anything.

They are simply a parts database.

They use Generic diagrams for multiple BMW models so illustrated details like that are often not correctly pictured.

If you purchase that BMW OEM Part Number from any reputable source, it will be correct.
