Aftermarket winter wheels - sqaure or staggered fitment

So looking to get some winter wheels, may go after market e.g. Team Dynamics ? wondering who has a square set up instead of staggered here in UK ?
Probably gives me a better selection of tyres etc.
Ran square on my 330/335D with no issues.

I think the BMW recommended package is square set up ?

Rob

Yes OEM is square 18" 235 all round Michelin PA4s, I'd go for that myself you'll get a set for less than 2k. (unless you have ceramics then you'll have to go 19".

If you go for 19”s they come as 255/35/19 from the factory so another option if needed.

Been on Mr winter wheels (Borbet supplied) and also wheelbase looking at Team Dynamics (19 in wheels).

Only issue with TD is not direct fitment (spigot rings required).

Alternative is to just buy a run-around for when weather gets really bad and leave M3 cosy in the garage .

I went for a set of 437s and winter tyres in same size as standard for those wheels. Michelin PA4s available in that size, and a few other decent options.

I'd rather keep the 275 rears for decent traction in the dry and wet, which is much more often than snow.

Yes I was looking at those 437's you bought from Bimmaguy, had another set lined up but missed out on them in the end.

Or just get a set of winters for your current wheels, in the past I've bought a winter wheel tyre package but the last 2 years I've just bought some winters and swapped them over, it's very cost effective.

A decent set of tyres will be around £700.

I’d be petrified they damaged my 666’s to be honest.
It’s a bit of a cost up fronts getting winters but if I could get cheap or decent second hand alloys I can recoup a bit when selling too.

I must admit that was my motivation before when I got a set of winter wheels and tyres but I realised that no damage occurs, after 3 years of using the winter wheels after a clean they were perfect.

But I do think the OEM winter wheel and package is the optimal solution overall and I got 50% back when I sold them on.
