Essential mods?

I've got an M4 comp pack on the way collecting it in December, now are they any essential mods or things you would recommend doing. I've ordered some carbon but I'm Thinking about springs and spacers too.

The latest CPs are well sorted so there's nothing essential... If you like noise then an exhaust mod should be on your list (it was top of mine) once you can source an improved system/mod for post PPF cars. If you are adding M Performance splitter (or similar) you may want to do that first before considering dropping - the front end will benefit from a drop but I can't due to clearance on some speed humps I go over - with the MP Splitter I can't go lower than stock. Of course depends - you may prefer a drop to the splitter... If cold start will be an issue then get BM3 to solve that if you are happy with warranty risk - you can always dial in some performance upgrades while you are at it...Just be aware of stone chips with spacers so you may want to factor in some protection on the impacted paintwork...

Yeah I think it's going to be too quiet for me so I might want to look at some sort of exhaust mod. Ideally I don't want to risk the warranty but I'll see how I go I should be ok height wise I had a dc2 years ago that was lower than a slugs tits and managed. I need to get rid of the arch gap I've gone for CS splitter so I'll see how I get on. I just wish I'd gone for adaptive icons.

12mm spacers all round, MP HAS kit and carbon diffuser/front corners and spoiler does really change the looks of the car for the better IMHO.

Isn't the HAS kit just springs with an adjustable bump stop on the rear? I think if I was spending that money I'd go all out on coilovers. I don't think you can go wrong with eibach pro springs.

The HAS kit allows full geo setup (with corner balancing) and the height adjustment allows front camber to be corrected. It's more than purely cosmetic as some would have you believe.

It's not up to coilover standard for very quick & bumpy roads but it's more comfortable for commuting and town driving.

Everything is a compromise!

I got exhaust, MP front lip, splitters, and rear spoiler, as well as wheels and the MS Comp springs, which I absolutely love. Perfect drop and scrapes of the front lip are very rare driving around LA. I agree with you in the MP HAS. I’d go full coil over instead if I was going that route. Better handling and ride, in addition to ride height adjustable. But for me, if you have 666 wheels, new wheels would be essential. No regrets replacing the wheels even though I had the 437s and didn’t mind them.
