Hi, new to the forum and M3 ownership.

Thought I would share some information I found when looking around. New M4 standard and CP now have the same power of 431hp gone is the CP uplift and the emissions have officially increased somewhat from 194 to 213 for the DCT 227 for the manual. These must be the WLTP cars with the GPF fitted. I wonder if old orders awaiting build will be this specification, you would expect so?

Are you sure? The configurator has long since said the CP has 431ps wrongly .. not sure anything has changed with GPF - they have increased boost by 0.1psi to compensate and claim all is same as before ...

Correct. We need to look at some dyno results from someone taking a recent car.

Only going by the configurator. Was the C02 this high too? Nobody at dealers I spoke to seem to know. Don't think there will be any cars of this spec yet or for a long while as again nobody knows when they will be coming through

The configurator has been incorrect for some time. As you state, it says 431 for the CP. I actually put this question to a BMW Genius and he stated it was incorrect and the CP is 450bhp.

Well technically 444bhp which is 450 metric horsepower (PS) = 331kw

VIN decode for my, soon to arrive, M4CP says 317kw also - which is 431ps - seems to be consistent with BMW not updating their data for the CP ... or helping us all out with insurance pricing maybe ??

If the VIN says its 431 it will be 431 surely, how could they get away with falsifying that? Will this car have a GPF/PPF? It should as if it was manufactured after June 1st they cannot sell it unless WLTP approved. You could be the fist to get one as everyone I have spoken too don't know a delivery time on M4's

Ordered my M4CP in early July, build starts next week (I have a provisional chassis number allocated) and due for delivery first week in Nov.

Just this second spoken to BMW Genius and she confirms M3/4CP is 453bhp.

Or they are covering their ar*€$ as they wouldn't have known back then what the outcome of wltp compliance would result in. Have they even got the compliance yet?

No idea. I guess only the dyno will tell once I've gone through the RIS. OpenFlashing after that so I'm not going to get too upset if its not 450bhp.

You'd hope they'd get their shit in order though and be consistent. The spec brochure quotes the CP as 453/444bhp so it's not as if they are being conservative in light of the WLTP.
