No LC after 1200 mile service
I got my car back this afternoon and I was happy that my dealer didn't change the transmission fluid!!!
However, After driving the car for about an hour, I wanted to see the checquered flag!! I deactivated the DSC, selected S-6, then hold the gear lever and nothing is on. The engine is fully warmed too. All the SA's are gone at my dealer so I guess I have to go tomorrow again to check this out. So my question is: Does the dealer actually have to unlock the LC?

I heard that the dealer DOES NOT have some kind of secret Launch Control code....the computer just knows when you have driven enough to pass "break in" & allows it to happen...I also heard that if you don't turn off the DSC 1st then you can't get S6...since you can only get S6 once the DSC is off

hahaha thanks! i know what LC is, i meant to sound ignorant like "what's that thing you guys have with DCT"... u know every thread has to go into some 6MT vs. DCT shit... nevermind.
so is it true, to launch you guys turn DSC off? |

I was also told that it would enable itself at over 1200 miles, but it could also be 1290, 1300, 1350...the ECU will determine when it is broken in enough :-)

========================= My launch control was available at the dealership immediately after my 1200 mile service, however I don't know if the dealer activates it by updateing the onboard computer with the service data. I activated LC in the dealer parking lot before I drove away from my 1200 mile service.

Thank God Al Gore invented the internet so I can stay home in my Air Conditioned house.

If you then "turn yourself around" you have the hokey pokey.

Not only have I never played any konami games, I had never even heard of a konami game until you typed it above. Obviously I'm out of the loop on gaming except a few of the Wii games we have at home.
Nothing against gamers, I'm sure it's entertaining, but I prefer to experience "real" life. I have however done the hokey pokey. When I reengage DSC after selecting S-6 my transmission reverts to S-5. I can not have S-6 and DSC on simultaniously.
