What size spacers have folk fitted to M4s?

I bought a set of 12mm spacers but they pushed the tyre out wide of the arch lip, so wondering what others have gone for.

It looks like the M3 and M4 bodywork is 7mm wider on the M3, so guessing that M4 needs narrower spacers.

12's all round on mine... tyres not proud at all, so very confused if yours are...

Im assuming you both have 666M wheels?

Will be keeping an eyeball on this thread.

Edited to add: t5pilot , I see you have different wheels now. What ET are they front and rear?

(666M are 9J ET29 front and 10J 40 rear)

Edited to add further: More research shows your 763Ms to be the same ET and width so, yes quite curious.

I had 763’s with 10mm, just about right I’d say.

He will be buying the exhaust bit by bit next

Then there will be - “its the money from the mods on his previous car” (brakes etc.) thats hes spending, so that is previous mod money not new

Nope!, tried MarkG_M3CP 's back to back with my car and it was definitely harsher, so I'm going to stick with it as is.

That then allows me to fit the splitter I now have sitting in the garage. And the Carbon corners. And the side skirts.

And the steering wheel.

And the TDI tuning box.

Garage sounds like mine, lower splitter and rear std diffuser in there and awaiting delivery of carbon corners and boot spoiler

Plus wading through selling the F30 parts from 335D.

Enjoy the ‘enhancements’ you are doing to your car

I think that's the right decision.

Seeing our cars side by side and yours mocked up with the bits 'n' pieces, it looks the business. That, and the fact you now have all the bits ready to go!

So glad you found it all out, saved me a job! Cheers.

Had the 12mm's behind the 666's then behind the current 763M's. Both wheel sets looked the same as regards stance... Certainly not too wide for the arches on either wheel set-up...

Ok this is interesting then. Perhaps when I fitted that one I hadn't mounted the wheel quite right. I'll try again and see how it goes.

For those that have fitted 12mm ones have you also fitted lower springs, or sitting at standard ride height?

The wobbly 'xDrive' handling would have been the give away

Same boat here. Spoiler, diffuser, J corners, gear nob and surround all sat waiting for a car to be fitted to. Splitter on order (V Type). 90% sold all the bits off the current car and its looking like it just came out the factory (for the first time ever).

t5pilot , Tengocity
If possible, can you get a suitable pic of the front and rears and how much they are shoved with the spacers please?

I'll post one up in the morning. And in answer to another question, yes, mine's lowered on Eibach Pro's too.

I have 12mm fitted all round and MP HAS offsets on the 437M are the same offset as the 666 and have no issues, although the 666 have 10mm wider tyres? So that might be the issue.

Plenty of pictures of various set ups and advice on this thread in the main forum:

No they don't, the 666's also have 285 on the rear & 265 on the front... Exactly the same as on the 763M's...

Any issues running these ?
if not why would BMW not do it in first place to widen the track ?
