Is adding downpipes to loud

Hi just wanting advice about adding downpipes to a full Remus exhaust and having a Litchfield stage 3 ...

I’m booked in for a stage 2 with a Remus cat back but would like to try for around 550bhp so looking at adding the downpipes

Has anyone got this or is it to much

I've been thinking about this too, but I've been told they stink bad with no cats on

It's LOUD for sure. In S & S+ anyway. Efficient mode's surprisingly tame & quiet (not normal quiet standards though).

There's no smell... The secondary cats take up the slack of the primary ones being removed. Still meets emission standards too. Remove the secondary cats though (for the reasons above) will leave you in a world of pain come MOT time...

Definately louder than stock, more rasp.

But cannot noticed any smell and I've been running them for 7 months.

t5pilot im looking to get Akra DP's on my M4 and keep the secondary stock cats - I have the MPE so no resonator either.. I was under the impression i'd be in trouble come MOT time with catless DP's?

I'm reliably informed that the secondary cats will do the job to keep within current emissions standards.

Just out of genuine curiosity, why spend so much for Akra?
The MTC ones are made from premium stainless. A fraction of the cost.

I know etto, but they're all the same size, shape & fitting...

Nice one. But as above, shouldn't need changing for MOT

t5pilot Only reason I decided on the Akra is because they have a flex section as per the stock dp’s. Because I run the MPE I’m a little concerned that I may increase chances of it craking from engine movement if I don’t have the flex. I’m open to suggestions on this..
