Add OEM CF Splitters after installed OEM Carbon front lip?
If I install OEM Carbon Fiber Front Lip Part #51192410360 first and decide to add OEM Carbon Fiber Front Splitters Part #51192350712 later, do I have to remove front lip for the splitter installation?
Thanks! |

They're designed to be used together, no? There's a picture of a car with the lip and no spoilers in this thread. I wouldn't think the lip would have to be totally removed to retrofit the splitters, but if you attach the lip like the car in the picture the outer sections under the splitters would of course have to be unscrewed and reattached. If you don't attach the outer sections there will be a decent gap between the lip and the bumper where the splitters would normally be.

Look into this RKP lip - it's the M-Performance design but does not require the use of splitters.

I had the M-Perf lip installed without the CF Scoops for a few months. It truly didn't look that bad at all, barley noticeable IMO.
When I went back a month or so later to install the scoops, the tuner shop did have to somewhat "uninstall" my lip to mouth the scoops. The had to loosen it to get the scoops on.ere is If you look at the bottom right corner you can kind of see the white mounting screw. You can see that because the scoops aren't there. Now that the scoops are there, you can't see it. Also, if you look real close you can kind of see how there is a little valley for where the scoop fills. Again, not a major deal IMO unless you are up close. I also intended to get the scoops though. Last edited by Mp3Supply; 08-11-2018 at 06:08 PM.. Reason: add photo |

They are designed to be used together. You screw the lip into the splitters.

If you're looking for something that looks almost identical to the OEM part but was made to be used without the splitters, I think the RKP BMW Carbon Front Lip is your choice. https://www.vividracing.com/rkp-bmw-...151864169.html
