CF Hood or Trunk

Does anyone have any experience with CF body parts. As far as overall looks and fitment?

OEM provides the best fitment. It's just the hood from the m4 gts or m3 cs.

Not sure if there's a carbon trunk out there.

Was it the straight pipes review of the M3 CS where one of the commentators mentioned the Hood flapping. Since the CS had a CF good on it they off handedly mentioned they could see if being unsteady but clearly closed.

Made me reconsider the mod myself.

The hood doesn't flap it just moves slightly if with air pressure if you are on the highway. The material and mounting on gts hood (oem and aftermarket) is not as solid as metal so it can be expected, I have an aftermarket RW hood on my car

I like the Motorsport24 carbon hood a lot. It's the same as the regular hood, but it's got a lot of vents in it.

So I found out that the OEM trunk is made of a carbon composite. Its unique to the M4 to my understanding...

That's a CSL style trunk lid, IIRC. I don't like that one either.

DarwinPro Hood and RKP trunk

Make sure you buy one that's has proper stiffness, I have seen some CF trunks that don't seal against the trunk gasket. The trunk lid bows up in the middle and lets water in while you are driving in the rain. Let's say a mildewed trunk isn't the worst of it.
