My car is already in Production( just started), and Im sure I can still make a few changes on it. I am so hesitating, should I add the extended leather (black) or not?? I need to make up my mind soon..Thx

But if you need someone to make up your mind for you, then I say go ahead and get the extended leather.

You can't make changes once your car starts production. If your car is status 150 or above it is too late.

Not necessarily true. I am pretty sure I made a change at that stage and it went through. Ask your dealer.

Even though extended leather is nice, I doubt you'll miss it on black interior.

I have to say I love the non-extended black interior on my car. I don't feel like I am missing anything. Of course, if the dash was full leather, I would do that in a heartbeat.

On Black it is very subtle but well worth the $ IMHO. It gives the car a more upscale feel

I have an all black interior without extended leather and although extended leather is nice you would never notice it on all black. Well maybe as the owner you might because it's been brought to your attention but certainly know one else with notice it's not there.

With leather, especially black leather, i believe it's not so much the look, rather the feel you get from the interior of the car.
The extended leather in some of the other colors just looks too over the top for me, so having black extended would be my choice, if i were to choose black leather.
It really DOES give your car a more upscale feel, without really adding too much color (duh, black) then say extended fox red would.
Too much red im my opinion, but the extra leather is nice.

Extended ads 0 to resale value. As far as looks are concerned, the first thing most M owners will do is see if yours is extended or not. The extended owners will look in mutal agreement and give you the "oh you got extended to." The ones who didnt get it will give you the, "extended nice!" but in the back of their minds theyll say "what a waste." I'd say go for it!

disagree also - used car buyers wont care much less even know leather on the lower dash/console was on option. I bet KBB wont even list it.

but to each his own. I'd rather spend the money on track tires myself.
