light problem?
So today I met with another member from this forum and we traded our taillights because I had smoked ones and didn't want them anymore. Now after switching lights both of us have a warning in our cars saying a light is out. But all the lights are working properly on both cars, brakes, parking lamps, signals, reverse, everything. Does anyone have any idea what happened? Or how we can get rid of the warning?

take it to your dealer, maybe they need to reset the warning.

Yep, that's my plan but they are closed sunday and monday. Kinda weird though cause when I changed my angel eyes I did one at a time and it gave a warning when only one was changed, soon as I put the second in the warning went away by itself. I've had the taillights off this car before too and didn't have to reset anything.

Damn such sensitive cars. I wonder if there's a sensor. Or one thing you can do it disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and see it if fixes it.

I was actually thinking of doing that, just didn't want to have to reset my clock. I should try it though

just tried the battery, didn't work. Upon further research I just realized my tail parking lamps are always on now and won't shut off. That must be why the error message is coming up. How is it possible they can be stuck on? Something is not right here. Is it possible tail light assemblies are not interchangeable between other e92 m3's?

That can't be possible cause they're the exact same shape and have the exact same plug, this is weird gonna have to see the dealer when they open again this week

Is it possible to switch back and see if it fixes things? I bet taking off the negative terminal isn't all we need to do to reset fault codes. BMW is smarter than that. Keep us updated.

Not possible to switch back, other owner lives in Michigan and I'm in New York, to far away. Probably should've just taken lights apart and only switched lenses. Didn't think there was anyway it could cause a problem. I'm wrote the other guy asking if he was having the same problem of lights staying on, I haven't heard back from him yet. I'll post when I do.
