Nope... not an option for US cars -- even if you try to order factory direct. That would make it an "Individual" model. I tried to go down this route (for the Shadowline Trim) when I ordered my car, but hit lots of dead ends. I tried phoning up the food chain at BMWNA, and via a couple of industrious friends of mine in Germany (phoning BMW HQ direct). No avail. All roads lead right to the vehicle configurator.

Let us know if you have better luck.

And the key difference is Piano Black = wood while High Gloss Black = plastic.

No, not from the factory. The parts are available, however obtaining them will be tricky. Ideally, find someone over in Germany to see if they can order and ship you them. It wont be cheap however. Then either yourself, or your dealer can fit them.

I changed the trim on my old E46 M3, from nasty titan shadow to brushed aluminium. That was a bit easier though, as the brushed aluminium was available in the USA easily.

I think you can only get the individual parts if you have an individual VIN

This is what I have been led to believe also, in reading posts on E90post.

This is why, within reason, Piano Black is simply not possible.

I think the trim would be super easy to self install. All the trim is friction fitted to the dash for easy removal/install.
