New "stripper" vs. "loaded" slightly used?

Hi all - assuming the price is the same, would you rather have:

1. Brand new ordered 09 sedan - JB, Fox, EDC, moonroof

or

2. Used 2008 M3 with 6,000 miles - assume JB, leather, Prem, Tech, CWP, 19's, etc?

While I like options, I really dont care about upgraded stereo, navigation, etc. I mean, they're "nice to have" but I'm buying the car for the driving experience.

I plan to keep the car for 4+ years, and I drive about 9k miles per year. I'm leaning towards the "used" one since I'll be keeping the car a while and the options are nice to have and not required (only required are EDC, MR, and leather).

TIA

What are your all thoughts?

For the same model year.......I'd get the loaded "used" one....since you don't drive alot, might as well let someone else take the hit for $15k depreciation!

I considered a strip-job for a while. Wow, am I happy I opted for the Tech Package. I would be so sad if I didn't have Sport-plus and M-Drive. The car just wouldn't be the same.

I "wish" it was $15k less... a $68k MSRP sedan is going for about $58k now with a couple thou miles... so as I type this I guess you're right, that's 14% or $10k right there!

I'd be looking at either a 2008 used or new 2009.

iDrive sucks, it's not very user friendly if you ask me. So if you don't care about nav, or stereo upgrades I would recommend the stripper. If you think in the future you might want nav or stereo upgrades then go for the loaded car as upgrading these items is very difficult and not cost-effective. I don't miss having the tech package at all. Car is always set to Power button on, and usually DSC off. I wouldn't mess with any of the choices in the tech package I would set everything full performance and leave it there. EDC is another option I'm glad I don't have, I think the car is perfect stock from the factory and can't see spending the money to have a comfort mode since I would never use it.

+1

The tech package is a must have for me. EDC, M-Drive, CA, nav are all worth it.

Talking Get the new one guy

Everybody and their momma trashed and dogged that used one out. They used it like a $2.00 crack hoe and trying to pass on sloppy seconds to you. Don't do it. it should be new or nothing IMO

Take the used one...save thousands (..while also being able to possibly bargain down the price a bit) and be able to drive your car right out of the box (..by avoiding the break-in).
