Going in a bit to place my order. Thanks to everyone for all the info, making this process easy and the most enjoyable yet for researching and ordering. My sales rep was awesome, great deal and even coming in today to place the order. Anyone want details just send a PM. Don or Ron, Bakersfield BMW, both just awesome...
We had to put down our family dog of 9.5 years on Friday, so we needed some distractions, this is one of them. Don, was willing to come in today to help with the order and came down with the price.(no mention of the pooch)

E92 2008 M3 Jerez Black, Ext Fox Red Leather, 19" rims, Prem, Tech, DCT, I-Pod/USB, CF roof, CF leather trim

Cool! Does the dealer already have a confirmed e92 allocation they can order DCT with? Another member wasn't able to order DCT with the allocations his dealer had available.

His list showed 3 dct allocations available, find out soon enough if he can. I know my car will probably be the first DCT from there.

edit: If it gets delayed until the 2009 model, even better.

Week 29 build, order submitted w/o any issues regarding the DCT. He mentioned the rim delay currently, but said that may clear up by then. The waiting game begins... Proud to soon join the M3 crowd.

I kept the stock sound system, after 30 minutes of messing with settings and trying different types of music it sounded just fine. One step below the old Harmon Kardon setup in the 330i, but as good as the logic 7 in the 335i. I imagine the sound will be even richer once the speakers have a few hundred hours on them.

Sorry about your best friend. It will take awhile but the new M3 will help a bit. As long as your delaer got an allocated E92 available, you should have no problem with your order.
