Which tire brand has the best "sidewall bulge" for OEM tire sizes?

Which tire brand has the best "sidewall bulge" for OEM tire sizes?

What I mean is if you imagine the tire coming up from the edge of the rim it stays relatively vertical then meets the contact patch of the tire. My current tires aren't that "meaty" and from the edge of the rim they begin curving in towards the contact patch of the tire.

Basically, not my car, but my tire sidewall curves in like this:

But I want it do get as close to this as I can without mods:

I know with lets say a 265 wide tire, that between brands the tire width can actually vary. Which brand has the widest tire that can get me close to what I want?

My michelin PSS setup was pretty meaty, a lot more than my previous setup of PS2s. My 305 tires were so close to my fenders, and if I had passengers in the rear I would rub if I went over bumps super fast

Your issue is not only tire width, it's also wheel width. If your rims are wider than the tire, they will curve in.

If you get the right sizes in the new michelin PS4S, it has a nice squarish sidewall.

What are your rim sizes? I meant to say you want the tire sidewall to be straight not stretched correct? For example if your rear wheel is a 10.5 wide rim I would go with 285 or 295 tires. That's just my opinion!

I was actually going to suggest the AD08R from your photo. They have a very squared-off sidewall. I had them on my sedan (ZCP) and can confirm they have the look you want.

The easiest way to tell is to look at the Tire Rack specifications for a tire of your exact size. There are two measurements: section width and tread width. Section width refers to the overall width of the tire from one sidewall to the other; tread width is basically the size of the contact patch. If you want the more squared-off look, you want a tire whose section width and tread width are very close together.

Bear in mind that more squared off tires will have a bit more ultimate dry grip but the handling at the limit ("breakaway") will be less predictable. You see this most on the OEM-specific fitments of a certain tire brand because they want a specific handling behavior for the car's weight, suspension, electronics, etc. Anecdotally, I have noticed that the OEM fitments tend to have more rounded sidewalls, likely so that the handling is more predictable as it nears the limit. They're probably willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of ultimate grip to make the car easier to control as you push it harder. If you are not taking the car to the track or whatever, this is probably irrelevant for you.

Example using the rear 275/35R19 size:

The Yokohama AD08R has a section width of 10.9 and tread width of 10.3.
The Continental ExtremeContact Sport also has a section width of 10.9, but the tread width is 9.6.

Honestly, it's going to depend on the tire size you plan to run, budget, etc. As I mentioned in my post, look on the Tire Rack specification pages and compare the section and tread widths to see what would give that kind of look.

New PS4S tire in the size of 275/35/18 has a decent sidewall lip for my Arc-8 wheels.

Nitto NT05 in 275/35R19 match your description. However, I only got 4,000 miles out of the rears and I never turn traction control off. They are one of the best looking tires though...

4,000 miles?! Jesus, even my Cup 2s did better than that with heavy track use.
