Hi guys, I haven't been around this forum for sometime as I sold my E70 some 4 years ago but I have this rare E53 4.8is which I am selling to free up some funds for the new house. I loved my E70 but IMO the 1st gen E53 X5 is by far the best X5 BMW has made...especially the 4.8is's.

This one is an extremely rare example with Lemans Blue exterior/Beige interior. Only 187 4.8is were produced with this combo and what makes this even more rare is that it comes with Dinan performance parts. You will be hard pressed to find another one like this in this condition and with the Dinan parts.

These Dinan parts are no longer available from Dinan and the X5 is an absolute beast with these modifications.

Cosmetically the car is in almost mint condition. Other than the few minor stone chips on the hood, the exterior is like new. The interior also is in excellent condition. The leather seating has no rips or tears. Eveything in the car works as it should with the exception of the pass side rear view mirror... it hesitates while tilting in reverse and it doesn't go back up. The navigation screen has a very small area of dead pixles. Other than that everything works as it should.

Mechanically the X5 is in excellent condition. Carfax shows it was always serviced at the dealer or independent reputable dealer. A full PPI was performed at the BMW dealer back in December and the following things were changed,
Front Driver side air strut
New brake pads and rotors all 4 corners
Brake fluid flush
Oil Change
New Continental DWS all 4 corners
4 wheel alignment

There are no known mechanical issues and it has not given me any issues during my short ownership. I was planning on keeping this car in my collection but unfortunately have to move it. I just sold my E46 M3 last week and now it's this.

E53 4.8's are becoming harder to find and especially in the M color and in this condition. I wish I could keep it but have to make this tough call.

Thanks! Yeah, it was a tough decision to sell the cars. Sold my E46 M3 and now this... hope I don't have to sell my LRP M3

It's on stock suspension... I just lowered it for the pictures

I love E53 X5's... they are built like a tank!

Stock 4.6is/4.8is sounds very meaty but with the Dinan mods, it sounds bad ass.

I will miss it for sure.
