Anybody know of a place that sell new ones already painted? I'm looking for a pair in Alpine White. Thanks in advance!!

They come painted from the dealer, you can’t paint them or they won’t work

That's odd, when I look at all the BMW parts online stores, I only see "Primered/Ready to Paint" in the details and there's no option for which paint code to select either

Idk at the dealer the comfort access ones come painted. Also I have seen where body shops painted over them and they don’t work properly. I think it is special paint because of the capacitive sensors inside.

When mine were replaced under warranty, the dealer had to order painted ones from Germany. At least that's what they told me...

Gizmo is right on this one, getbmwparts has them painted for $254 for CA cars and $40 for non-CA cars.

Ha, I read that as CA (California) Cars and Not (Comfort Assist) cars at first, and thought DAMN, now what is California up to?

Man. I need to make sure I don't damage the paint on my CA door handles then. Can't imagine after a few years (even though my car is garage kept) that the paint would match up to the rest of the car.

170k miles and 9 years old, paint still matches (dark blue, too), except for where I was hit on the passenger side.
