MTM Shift boot options
Have searched for threads endlessly, but no luck on this specific set-up. I’m trying out the MS Spec Shift Knob, so will have to cut the one-piece OEM boot/shift knob. Any recommendations on where to find boots only, not boot/shifter combo?

IND may be able to help you. No one sells just the boot from what I've seen.

LeatherZ used to make lots of boots for BMWs. Not sure specifically about the F8x, but they probably can do it if you send them yours (so they can reuse the plastic bottom).

I'm pretty sure the 2 series, 3 series, 4 series, and their respective M models, all use the same shift boot. It might be easier to find something if you expand your search to other models like an F30.
Personally, I've tried to find one but didn't like what was on offer. I think I'm going to just buy a sewing machine and make my own. |

Issue is i want to keep the stock shifter/boot as a backup incase i need to install it back if i dont like the custom shifter or sell the car, this is ridiculous by BMW for making one piece boot/knob, it was not the same for earlier models.
