New to me CPO 2015 650i
Hey Guys,
My wife picked up my CPO 650i GC today. I will miss my e82, but the extra space is needed with a growing family. One question, When she got it home I noticed the iDrive screen was cracked. The cracks were not there when I was in the car last, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do as it is a bit frustrating to stare at constantly. Should the dealer fix it, or is it my problem now that the wife took delivery? |

Thanks. I am still trying to get them to fix it. I guess I need to decide on if it is worth using their 3 day return policy

That's terrible. I would either take the 3 day return or a fix. If I let them fix I would have to know that it was perfect, and that I was comfortable with the dealer doing the work.

So far no luck. I think they are stalling as tomorrow is day 3, so I guess I have to get more assertive on the issue.

start the process. Show them this thread. Name the dealer. Email BMW.
There are more sixes out there. I drove an E60 550i home from Gwinnett BMW home to the Boston area. There were all kinds of issues two days later that I should have dealt with better. |

How did this car pass the CPO checklist with a broken screen? Ask to see the CPO checklist ... see if it was noted. A replacement screen is over $1000 ... I'd not let that slide.
Good luck! |

The screen was not broken in the online pictures they had. I don't believe it was broken when I test drove it (but I cannot be sure). Sometime between my test drive (I haggled for a while) and my wife driving out to pick it up (it's close to her work), it got broken. I don't know if the detail guy who prepped it did it, or someone else test driving the car after me did. Either way, the dealership has ordered a new screen and will install it at no cost to me, so I have kept the car.
