Review of Eibach Pro Springs
So just installed my Eibach Pro Springs yesterday and put about 50 miles on them through nyc so they should be settled in. They look great, no rub, and gives the OEM look just without wheel gap. This is the way the car should have came out of the factory. The car rides and honestly feels the same as stock, I don't feel bounciness nor any stiffness. To my knowledge there was a V1 version of these springs that weren't the best about a year ago. But the V2's are a dream. Other reviews can agree with me. So if anybody wants to just get a rid of a bit of wheel gap and not cover your tire with some fender. These are perfect. Drop is 0.9 inch up front and 0.3 inch in the rear .

BMW M4 2018 ZCP DCT
It's all in his avatar The Eibach are probably not the best option for a car with the CP as they have a softer spring rate than the CP springs.

About the ride - are you sure it's not one of those situations where it feels fine at first, then slowly starts to wear on you with harshness? I've had the experience in the past.

As discussed before... once Eibach or any other springs are installed, regardless of CP or not, it is recommended to reset the EDC calibration values. This will adjust the EDC to the installed springs.
Search for details. |

You might be right actually. Went over a few speed bumps I go over on a daily basis and the impact was much softer. Living in NYC it honestly could be a positive thing. But from an honest perspective, I hit 120+ on the track this morning and felt stable and solid. They are great, especially the V2 version. I only went down 0.9inch so I don't think the drop is low enough to severely impact driving performance or just the feeling in general

Are the new Eibach's stiffer than the old ones? Do you have the rating on them? Cheers

Front - 177 lbs/in Rear – 591 lbs/in Eibach Pro Kit Front – 183 lbs/in Rear – 628 lbs/in Comp Pack Front – 198 lbs/in Rear – 685 lbs/in As far as I know, the Eibach V2 have the same spring rates as th V1, the only difference resides in a greater drop (more tightly wonded coil) for the rear springs.

Hey CanAutM3, do you find these springs beneficial for the track? Is it the spring rate or the drop that add benefit (if any?) or combination of both? Do you think they are a worthwhile upgrade for track performance?

The Eibach only provide a moderate drop and increase in spring rate, so it does not make a dramatic difference, but it is a step in the right direction to improve the overall handling. I think the biggest improvement stems from the change in the rear-to-front spring rate ratio. By proportionally increasing the rear spring rate more than the front, the Eibach offers a rear-to-front ratio that is closer to the CP (base 3.34, Eibach 3.43, CP 3.45) and this I believe is an important factor in making the rear of the car feel more planted. That being said, if you have the CP on your car, I would not go the Eibach route, since they offer lower spring rates. I would rather recommend the MP HAS route.
