Mix-Matching Winter Tires

Hey All,

So I have a set of Blizzak LM-60s that ive used for 3 winters. My rears need replacing, but the fronts are still OK.
Bridgestone discontinued the Lm-60.
Should I get a Pirelli winter tire for the rear and just mix match them with the blizzaks up front or get a new set of 4 Pirellis?

Thanks for the help in making this decision!

Mixing tread patterns, different compounds, tires with different wear levels would not be wise, especially in the winter

You'll be fine. Do it.
If the car was AWD I'd say you have to worry. With RWD you're fine.

Except that if the tire in the front has better tread/traction your chances of spinning will increase a lot. In contrast if the rears have better tread/traction you will understeer.

Ahh who needs stability just do it...

Back in Europe when we had little $ we used to put winter tires on just the front of our cars (or just rear in certan rwd cars) and drive like that. lots of snow and no issues - dont worry - do it.
