Mix-Matching Winter Tires
Hey All,
So I have a set of Blizzak LM-60s that ive used for 3 winters. My rears need replacing, but the fronts are still OK. Bridgestone discontinued the Lm-60. Should I get a Pirelli winter tire for the rear and just mix match them with the blizzaks up front or get a new set of 4 Pirellis? Thanks for the help in making this decision! |

Except that if the tire in the front has better tread/traction your chances of spinning will increase a lot. In contrast if the rears have better tread/traction you will understeer.
Ahh who needs stability just do it... |

Back in Europe when we had little $ we used to put winter tires on just the front of our cars (or just rear in certan rwd cars) and drive like that. lots of snow and no issues - dont worry - do it.
