Need some opinions. Black or silver 666's

Just ordered an M3 2018 black with red interior with comp package and I'm having a hard time deciding on the silver or black 666's. My order has the black 666's but I'm concerned the black car with black kidneys along with black wheels will hide too much HOWEVER the so called black 666's are silver fade with black only on the inside of the pattern.

Since there are so few pictures of the black 666's on a black car, I need some input. Should I go with silver or the "black" 666?

I have until Monday to change my order.

Honestly you can't go wrong with the black 666s. I have the silver ones and didn't have the option at the time since the black ones weren't revealed yet. If I had the option myself I would tick the black box. But either way with a black car it will work. It will rest on your taste. I have a black X5 with black wheels and black interior and have the windows tinted black. So that's me.

If the wheels were completely black, I'd be concerned since all black wheels hide their angles but because I've never seen these type of black/silver wheels, I just don't know what to do.

Gotta be silver for me. Need to highlight those gorgeous wheels not hide em'. Not hating on the black ones, I just know it wasn't even a consideration for me. But I hate all black wheels lol

Yes it helps a lot. Hard to find black 666's on black M.

I have silver 666's on AY.
Black 666's looks better on this combo, IMO.

I'd have to see the black in person. I like the 437M in black but the details are the best thing about 666M and they get lost in the black.

Having owned the silver one and seen the black version on another M3, I can happily say the black one is gorgeous. It adds a layer of detail that makes it look infinitely better than the silver ones.

I've seen black on black 666M in person and it looks sooo nice. It almost made me want to get a black M3 but I stuck with SSII.

I meant fully black wheels get lost. I had trouble finding good pictures of the 666's in black on a black car until you guys posted what you did above and since these wheels aren't fully black, I agree that they look better than the silver ones.

I don't know. I think the silver wheels look better on a pure black car. I'm not a huge fan of all black.

Although I did choose black wheels on my tanzanite, not sure why, just because they are the 2018 wheels.

I think these work because they aren't fully black and show the depth of the wheels which otherwise would have been lost had they been fully black.

yes when I first saw the fully black ones (aftermarket paint), they looked awful, it looked as if the car had no rim.... no character, shape, or design...

The aftermarket full black rims look ugly IMO:



then when I saw the real black ones from BMW, and realized they call them black but are more like smokey grey just like the 437M Black rims were, I ordered them and couldn't be happier.

When it's bright, they look like light smokey grey, when it's dark, they look like very dark smokey grey to black and they don't hide any detail

100% silver, especially on a black car. Looks much more elegant than black imo.

I think the silver would look better on your car, in pics anyway. I do still think you more easily see the facets of the wheel where the inside of the spokes are painted black on the black 666M.

Please don't get me wrong, they look very nice in black also, it's a tough choice.

I agree somehow, silver + YMB looks good........BUT...not when you have the black kidney grills, side gills, CF splitters and CF lip...IMO the Black blends better with them this way.....on my previous 2017 M4 which was without the competition package, it would look better with the silver rims since all the things I mentioned above minus the splitter were chrome...

Yeah, I agree that the black wheels do match better with the ZCP accents.
