M4 ZCP - 437M vs 763M Winter Wheels

I have a M4 ZCP with 666M wheels and I need to get a 2nd set for winter tires. I'm leaning towards getting another set of OEM wheels in 19s. So my choices are either 437M in silver or 763M with 19s in the rear. Which one should I go with? Are there any other suggestions? This is for Black Sapphire Metallic if it matters.

If you want to stick with OEM, I would go with 513M. They look similar to the 763M (which are far too expensive for winter wheels, I would guess) but are much cheaper. If you want them to be black, simply powder coat. Also, depending on what type of tires you are getting (standard winter tires, performance winter tires, or true snow tires), you may find 18" tires easier to source and/or cheaper.

Obviously my suggestion will not apply if you have CCB.

Other OEM possibilities are the winter-specific 18" 640M and 19" 641M. Good for non-staggered winter tire setups.

I have 666M's for summer and 437M's for winter w/ SottoZero2's. They work great for me and look better IMHO than the 513M's.

** I can't do 18" due to CCB either

Cheers,

Cheers,
I've just bought some 437M's for winter. What size tyres did you go for as they are staggered?

BMW said 255's all round where as I'm thinking like for like and 275 rear 255 fronts?

+1

Alex, please don't put those amazing M763 on as winter wheels... that's the most exciting wheelset BMW has ever offered for the F8x especially in 19/20...

Did the same, went with 255 square. It will look a bit stretched in the rear but not too bad from what I've researched. I kinda wish I did 275 in the rear as most of my winter driving will be in the dry cold, but the skinnier tires are def better in terms of cutting through snow if you encounter it.

If I did go with 763M I was going to go with M2 sizes, 19" in front and rear. But I decided to get a set of silver 437M instead.

Thanks for the reply, also noticed a fellow Azurite black owner

Out of interest, what make of tyre did you put on the 437's?

I can't find many winter tyres that do a 275

Azurite black FTW!

I went with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4s, don't even know if they make them in 265 or 275.

FWIW - I went with the PA4's as well. I bought four 437M front wheels, so no stretch and the front wheels look fine in back, they only sit a few mm further in than the stock rear wheels, you don't really notice it. Also allows me to rotate front to back.

Thinking of doing this exact same thing Tommy, any problems with your 19x9 square setup?

Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme S. I used 255 and 275 last year and they were excellent.

We did not have a lot of deep snow last year, rare for Chicago. We did get several inches from time to time and they worked fine. I'm happy with the set up, no issues.
