Bigger brakes cheaper "custom" alternative
Again not my pics, but owner did following:
1. Front rotors from M5 F10 - they are even bigger 400mm than X5M F85 rotors (395mm) 2. Front calipers, pads and brackets from 7 series F01 3. Custom made bracket fasteners |

Why do you think so? It's all oem bmw, parts are from M5 and 7 series F01. This is not mine, it was done in other country. I think main goal was to save some money compared to MPBK. According to OP it's 1/2 the cost while braking surface and performance is at the same level as F85 X5M brakes. Don't get me wrong - these brakes may not be huge improvement in performance, but I think it was more done for looks mainly and cheaper price rather than to make a car a track beast
In US/Canada we may be better off with MPBK - again don't get me wrong - I'm not saying or implying anything - this post was just to show what "mods" other people have done - just for bmw enthusiasm and fun, that's all. P.S. Another pics I wanted to post was about putting a manual transmission in x5 f15 (which was done by some guy) - again as one of the crazy things fans do, but I'll probably skip on it lol as I see some of my posts are taken the wrong way and people start questioning lots of things haha while this was just posted for informative and entertainment reasons Last edited by DuSh; 09-04-2017 at 08:50 PM.. |
