Anyone powder coat their 666m comp pkg wheels?

Hi everyone,

I have a '17 black M4 with comp package and it came with the typical comp package 666M wheels... I see BMW has a "black" version but they don't really look like they're very black on the web site and I'm not finding any pics on here. A search turned up the pic below, but I thiiink (just a google image so no confirmation) these were powder coated, but has anyone else done that with these wheels, or could confirm these aren't the stock black wheels? I'm trying to decide if I should try to find the stock black wheels or just get mine coated...

Also, is powder coat the only way to go when modifying wheels, or are there other recommended methods to get the wheels black? Thanks!

I believe he had those powdercoated in satin black. Here are mine in gloss black.

you can have them painted, but powdercoat is the best option.

Satin black is the way to go, makes the wheel look bigger IMO.

Typically, powdercoating is the way to go for a color change.

Powdercoating shops are everywhere, no need to ship wheels back and forth. Be sure to ask to mask off the inner hub, as this can make wheels difficult to install.

Special order satin black from factory. Some small "detailing" added by myself.
