coding pops and burbles off possible?

Darn sure it's opposite of what most people want but I'am finding the over run burbles a bit too much for me. I have a m3 cp with the m performance exhaust.

I do like the aggressive exhaust sound. Is there a way to code or mechanically turn off just the over run sounds?

thanks!

Your gonna need a flash tune for that

I'm one of the few that dislike the pops and burbles as well.

I requested no burbles with my tune, although there are the "GTS burbles" still - basically louder, longer lasting farts than stock, when lifting off the throttle at higher RPMs. Annoying, but I manage.

But like mentioned, you'll need an ECU tune for anything regarding burbles.

I am a bit nervous about getting catless downpipes and a flash tune because of some of the loud pops at shift and burbles I have heard in videos of modded M3/M4's. Is it possible to limit these noises and still get a tune? Or does it compromise the power the tune will give you if you try to eliminate these pops? I really want to increase the power but not sure at what cost being this a DD.

If you don't want a tune, just run the car in Efficient mode if you don't want the burble & pops - that is about as close to an "off" switch as you can get. Sport mode is a little bit less than Sport+ as well. But of course, where is the fun running in Efficient mode all of the time.....

+1

It's a fad I think jaguar has started when they released the F-type. Now almost every new Performance car is coming with it.

One of the reasons I don't like the new Huracan or R8, those fake pops. I'd rather hear a smooth crescendo decrescendo of the exhaust. Burbles once in a while are ok if they are natural, not this artificial BS.

JB4 with downpipes and flaps open sound really good. Lots of pop and crackles when you want it by driver input and sounds very natural.

It's definitely not for everyone, but also try not to judge all Throttle Overrun
as being the same. There are quite a few "burble" tunes on the market these
days, but very few really capture the essence/personality of the ZCP/GTS
model cars accurately.

Aside from the calibrations that control the aggressiveness and duration of
the throttle overrun in the various drive modes, different exhaust systems
will also also have an effect on the sound. The more "aggressive" the
exhaust, the more aggressive the sound.

Can be done by a flash tune
