Car not recognizing the key fob

So for some reason the car is no longer recognizing my key fob. Replaced the battery still no worky. My spare fob works fine...just not the regular used one. Anybody know if they are covered under the std warranty? No to has not been dunked by me but i did purchase the car 2nd hand from the dealer so no telling.....
